Care of Items

If you have already purchased a product then here are a few hints on how to look after it:

Washing:

Hankies can be washed at 40 degrees in the washing machine.

Knitting bags can be washed (without labels and cord) by hand in warm water with a gentle detergent, turn the bag inside out before washing.

Machine washing is not recommended as there will be slight shrinkage because of the untreated nature of the calico.

Scarves can be washed in warm water using a gentle detergent, air dry then iron to remove creases

Items such as purses, glasses cases and cuddly pugs can be spot cleaned to remove marks.  Please do not immerse the items in water.

All printed fabric pieces are washable.  Please hand wash in warm water and a gentle detergent.  Machine washing is not recommened as there may be some shrinkage due to the nature of the fabric. Hemp is a lovely fabric that softens with every wash so you will continue to be happy with your printed fabrics in years to come.

General care:

When storing projects in the knitting bags always point the sharp end of your needles towards the top not the bottom of the bag, not only will it stop your needles poking holes in the bottom of your bag but your stitches wont fall off your needles!  Use needle protectors on either end of your dpn’s, again to avoid unwanted holes in your bag.
